San Diego Professionals Against Cancer (SDPAC) is proud to present the 14th annual San Diego Festival of Beer on Friday, September 19th, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., in beautiful downtown San Diego at Columbia and B Street.
This Festival of Beer charity event is the oldest and largest beer tasting in all of San Diego. SDPAC is excited to feature over 50 microbreweries serving up over 100 different beers! Live music by Len Rainey & the Midnight Players and Night Shift
Tickets include 10 tastings, live music, fun atmosphere, and feeling great for contributing to the aide of those with cancer and the prevention of the disease. A bargain at twice the price! Additional tastings are available inside the event for $10.00. Food will also be available for purchase once inside.
San Diego Professionals Against Cancer is a non-profit organization comprised of executive volunteers from the local professional community dedicated to raising money for cancer research, patient services, education and cancer prevention. SDPAC has donated $80,000 to the Children's Hospital, for equipment and educational and entertainment material for patients in the oncology center and for a stem cell room, $215,000 to the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, $27,000 to the American Cancer Society, specifically for breast cancer awareness program for the Hispanic community, and $7,500 to San Diego Hospice for medical expenses for uninsured children with cancer.
